Frequently Asked Questions
Answering standard operational, technical, and billing questions about the academy.
Q: Is prior coding or software experience required?
Absolutely not. Our Code Warriors program is designed for total beginners. We split kids into progress tiers so that veterans are challenged in advanced channels while newcomers are comfortably guided through computational logic from scratch.
Q: How does the scholarship allocation work?
Apex Scholars Academy is dedicated to structural access. Through local corporate sponsorships and foundation matchings, many registration slots are subsidized. Parents can use the scholarship path during intake and follow up with supporting documentation.
Q: What equipment or laptops are necessary?
None. We supply Chromebook, tablet, and hardware kits to students in our Code Warriors and Digital Creators programs during class hours. Seniors in Future Leaders Academy may bring their own laptops if preferred.
Q: What safety screens do mentors go through?
We maintain a rigorous screening process. All lead teachers and tech assistants undergo background validations and child welfare screenings. Classes are staffed at a strict 6:1 participant ratio.
Q: Can we get sibling discount schemes?
Yes. If you register more than one child simultaneously, the system can apply a sibling discount during checkout.
Q: What is your emergency refund policy?
If a child suffers a medical emergency or undergoes relocation, parent invoices can be reviewed and adjusted on a case-by-case basis.
